4th of Juuuuuly

4th of July has always been one of my favorite holidays, if not my favorite.  Mostly because it was the one time of year i am allowed to legally play with fire. :) My uncle and I have always been someone you could call a piro... as the years have gone by we have slowly stopped blowing up stuff together, but we still enjoy basking in the glory days and remarking about other fireworks we have seen and how we could do better. Maybe some day we will start our own fireworks business :)... guess we will see.  This year consisted of the usual Kaysville parade, grandma Angie's house for dinner, and Kaysville fireworks.  Ryan's family goes to Jackson Hole every year the weekend before the 4th of July and stays for fireworks there. When they told me this I was a little distraught because I am so insistent on certain traditions my family has, and one of them was being here for the 4th. It all worked out in the end though, we ended up going to Park City instead and Ryan and I drove home the night of the 3rd so i could make it in time for our wonderful fun filled day ahead of us. This year was different though... I am still getting use to living on my own and being an adult.  I feel like Ryan and I are almost like everyones mom and dad, doing the things we do. and that might be because we are doing things my parents usually would do for Roan and I.  We went and laid out blankets and chairs for fireworks, made sure everyone was comfortable at the house, got them drinks.  idk.... its just weird sometimes doing things on my own.  But i like it.  I like the sense of Independence.  This year has been a really independent year for me... so here is for an extremely Happy Independence Day!
