Family History Challenge- Ashley

I found this challenge on the internet where you answer all these questions for your future family. And I actually thought it would a really good idea to do. It has been really fun going over some of the questions and answers. Its a good reminder how blessed I am and always have been. This is about me and I will post Ryans once he is finished with the questions.

Your birth and family:
*What is your full name and how did you get that name? Ashley Lorrin Do you have any nicknames? Developed my youth Ash, Ashwee, muffin head.*What are your parent's full names and birth dates and places? Solomon Hektor Oberg, 1972 in Ogden. Melissa Maughan Oberg, 1973 in Ogden. Kristi Mae Clark, *What is the date of your birth? 12-02-1991 Where were you born? Ogden What are some of the circumstances (when your mom went in to labor, how long, her doctor, your dad fainting, etc.) of your birth? Kristi was in labor for 12 hours and said that it was very easy.  My mom and some of their friends pitched in for a car seat for me.  She was at the hospital the day I was born.  My mom was always meant to be apart of my life, looking back on everything she was always suppose to be my mom. She was always there for everything and always has been.*What are your sibling's full names and birth dates? Roan Colin 05-22-2001, Aaliyah Mae 10-28-1996, Aubree Clark 06-22-1998.*How was your relationship with your siblings and parents? Roan and I fought a lot, I think it was mostly because of our age difference. We didnt ever have much in common. I think my relationship was as good as any teenagers.  It could have always been better, but I was to absorbed in other aspects of growing up. My mom always took me to get manicures and pedicures, we always went shopping the week before school, and she always resolved my boy and friend problems. My dad was always so loving, he was always such a big example to me because of all he has accomplished in his life.  I remember him teaching me how to color in the lines with my Hunchback of Notre Dame coloring book, making me eat eggs, and the abnormal amount of hours we spent playing guitar hero. *What are some lessons you learned from you parents? If you are going to do something do it 100% dont ever do it half way.  My parents taught me to love. In my marriage I look up to them and how much they love each other. My parents were truly meant for each other.
*How did you help in your home? Clean up dog poop (until Roan was around) Dust, Dishes, Water plants, sweep, clean microwave, occasionally vacuum (my mom loved when my dad vacuumed though).
Growing up, early years: *Where did you grow up?  Describe it. I grew up in Chelsea Park, which now looking back at was the perfect place for my parents to start their family. Across the street lived my best friends Kassie and Casey Morin, 2 houses away from me were the Andersons, Kody, Josh, and Kelsie, in their col de sac lived Katie and Jessica Johnson.  We all grew up together playing night games and riding the bus home from school. My house was beautiful my parents worked hard to have a gorgeous yard and a really clean home. It was a three bedroom home with three levels. In my mind it is still the perfect starter house.
*What was your earliest memory? Coloring in my Ghostbusters coloring book at Bob's house (grandmas boyfriend at the time) and my dad deciding he was going to make me eat an egg sandwich because I helped decorate the eggs. I remember being so upset because I hated eggs so much.

*What did you like/dislike about school? I liked the dances, getting all dressed up in cute dresses.  I liked the constant interaction with people my age. I didn't like how strict school policies were, I never sluffed a class which I always wished I would have.  I didn't like how immature boys were and the mean girls.*What was your first paid job?  Lagoon.

College years:*Did you attend college or a trade school of some sort? Yes, Utah Valley University. *How did you choose what you wanted to be when you grew up? I think i always knew what I was meant to do, but with a lot of praying I knew I was right to pick to be a teacher.*What did you think was the hardest thing about your chosen profession at that time?  Did it turn out that way? The hardest thing right now is being a teacher in Utah isn't that great, they don't get paid well and their retirement sucks. So I either stay in Utah and suck it up or move somewhere away from our families.*What dumb things did you do during those years? mmmm... most of my dumb stuff was in high school. But I did get in a few big car accidents that I will always hate.*What good things did you do? Move out on my own and marry my husband.*Did you live on your own?  How well prepared were you for that? Marriage:*How did you meet your spouse?  Was it love at first sight or did it take some time? I met my husband in his back yard at his little brothers mission farewell. I dont think it was love at first sight but I do remember being attracted to him immediately   Neither of us were wanting a commitment when we met we just wanted to be friends and have fun.*How long did you date before you got engaged?  2 years How long was your engagement? 3 months*How did you get engaged?  (The story.) Ryan had planned a hiking trip with my family to hike up Adams Canyon together. I remember thinking it was a little out of the normal because it was on a Sunday and usually Ryan wont miss church for anything. We had a really lovely walk but Ryan was extremely talkative and I almost killed him because we were going up the really steep part at the beginning and I could not talk any more until we got further on the hike. When we were almost to the water fall I thought I saw Ryans dad and turned back to my mom and said "i think I saw Ryans dad" she said no you didnt and pushed me a long. When we got to the waterfall my dad pointed out an area and told me to go look at what was set up on a rock. When I walked over I found an assortment of peacock feathers with a diamond ring, when I turned around Ryan was on one knee. It was perfect. He got both the families there.  The Porters hiked up before we did hid and got everything ready.*Who did most of the wedding plans?  Who helped? Me and My mom.  Ryan and my aunt erica helped.*Who were your bridesmaids/best men?  Dontai Warner, Ashlee Porter, Morgan Gray, Brooklynn Call. Rory Porter, Matt Warner, Mitch Hatch, Jake Hansen.
*Describe the details of your wedding:  the colors, the cake, the decorations, etc. Our Wedding was perfect, our colors were coral and tiffany blue.  It was held at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple and the reception and ring ceremony were at my parents home. Everything turned out just as I wanted great flowers, beautiful cake, lots of lights and color.
