May was a busy month for us.
Starting with... WE MOVED! YAY! we've been looking forward to this moment for a year. We have a new home that we love, its fresh, bright, clean, and quiet. Just what we needed. We bought a new kitchen table to go with it. We are absolutely in love with it and we've completely settled in.
During the Move we also had finals (face palm) Yup... we moved the week of finals and we were exhausted!
After that we moved forward with celebrating all the mothers. We cooked a meal for each mom and spent time with them. It was really nice. On mothers day we went to the zoo with the Obergs and played games after. <3 it was perfect. With it being my first mothers day I felt so lucky and blessed to be surrounded by my awesome people and my baby girl. They make me feel so special. Mama is my best title.
I then proceeded to work crazy hard preparing for a convention my work does every year. But this year I had an additional responsibility that I hadn't had past years which was presenting. I taught two classes! So I spent a ton of time working on my presentations as well as preparing the actual event. It went really well and I didn't mess up like I thought I would- I am not a good public speaker.
The event came and gone and Roans birthday was next in line. We did one big bash celebrating Roan as well as James, Jacob, and Sarah- who all have May birthdays. Roan turned 16 and I am still trying to figure out how that happened.
The weekend after Roans birthday we packed our bags and took Roan to Idaho to visit Grandpa Steve and Afsaneh as well as to spend a couple days at Lava Hot Springs with the Porters. We had a great time relaxing and spending time with everyone. Aria went to the pool for the first time which she hated but eventually warmed up too.
