The day started off with Ryan being able to sleep in, the family was all at work aside from Rory, so at about 4:00pm Rory took Ryan shopping in Ogden, and I went over to his house and decorated his room, and left a card telling him i would be picking him up at 7:00pm, after that i went about preparing everything else i needed for the night, and at 6:15pm, Rory and my mom, met me at Barnes Park and helped me set everything up, as we set everything up, everyone started to show up, including, Ryans Parents, Richie Stevenson, Joe Kapp, Chris and Felisha Walker, Jake and Jessica Hansen, Tyler Lewis, Tyler Webb, Brannon Dopp, Ben Price, Ken Goulding, Caleb Reed, and Grandma Angie and her boyfriend John.
I left everyone to go pick up Ryan from the house, and after i had picked him up and we were driving down flint street, he asked if we were going to Pepper Belly's ( his dads favorite restraunt) i said yes, and you could see it in his face and the tone in his voice that he was disappointed. I soon turned into Barnes Park, and told him i just had to stop by here for a second, and he still had no idea what was going on, until i parked in front of the poster that said Happy 23rd Birthday Ryan!! and everyone said SURPRISE! he was sooooo excited, he started waving at everyone and just couldnt stop smiling. He told me later he couldnt believe everyone was there, his and mine family, as well as all of our closest friends. The night went well as we ate, socialized, played soccer, and sang Happy Birthday.
Planning this was so stressful, and I will probably never do it again... but seeing the look on his face the whole night and seeing him so happy, was just priceless. I am so happy he had a good time and that it turned out as good as it did!
