Teenager!

That's right! Roan turned 13 on May 20.  We celebrated his birthday this weekend because we took him to Lava Hot Springs last weekend. We took part in the annual nerf war.  It was nice spending time with all the family especially because we got to see Grandpa Trent-whom we don't see very often.  The last time we saw him was our wedding and there wasn't much time to chat with him then. Roan is an excellent kid! He just finished his first year of junior high taking almost all Honors classes with a final GPA of 3.7.  I wish I was as smart as he was.  This year he was in the chess club, NAL (National Academic League), Honor Roll, and North Ridge Lacrosse.

This is what we got Roan for his Birthday, he had asked for one.  He has a huge crush on Jennifer Lawrence and was so excited to see what I had picked out for him.   

 

Jlaw is also one of my woman crushes so when I found this on pintrest last night and sent it to him we had a good laugh. Especially because his cousins were weirded out that he wanted a girl poster.
